Custom Engraved Stainless Steel Utility Identification Tags

Recently, we completed a project involving 107 custom engraved stainless steel identification tags for use on utility infrastructure.

The customer needed durable 2" x 3" tags that could withstand outdoor conditions while remaining easy to read for years to come. Since the tags would be used in the field, 304 stainless steel was selected for its durability and corrosion resistance.

One of the unique aspects of this project was that each tag contained different identification information. Before production began, the layout, font selection, and overall appearance were reviewed and approved to ensure the finished tags would be clear and consistent across the entire order.

Each tag was laser engraved directly onto the stainless steel, creating a permanent black mark that will not peel or wear away like printed labels or stickers. The final design provided excellent contrast and readability while maintaining the professional appearance expected for utility and infrastructure applications.

After engraving, every tag was inspected, cleaned, and prepared for shipment. The completed order included 107 individual stainless steel tags, each customized with the customer's specific identification requirements.
